The course of gingival characterization and retouching and make-up of acrylic parts will consist of the assembly of a complete upper prosthesis characterized by the technique of functional asymmetric set-up.

We will begin with a talk on characterized overdentures, which will explain solutions to certain problems of divergence, emphasizing the importance of work planning from the beginning (occlusal schemes, selection of anchors, work protocols …) To its finish.

For two days we will perform from the analysis of the work model and antagonist, to the final polishing, through the assembly in articulator, the retouching and customization of the pieces chosen for the work, asymmetric threading, waxing and anatomical cutting, molded in different protocols, loading acrylics to characterize, scaling, polishing and polishing, and enhancing anatomical details using light-curable composite makeups.

Although the course is not, in itself, an occlusion course, if students have a fully adjustable articulator and have the necessary time, we can spend extra time analyzing the articulator to be able to get the most out of our day-to-day, delving deeper into bivalent occlusion during the course, making the course even more complete.
